Galesburg Railroad Days

Galesburg’s 45th annual Railroad Days festival returns to downtown Galesburg from June 22 through June 25 offering fun for the whole family. For a full schedule and more details, see our website, galesburgrailroaddays.com.

Here are some of the scheduled events for Railroad Days…

THURSDAY, June 22

• 6 – 10pm:  Wilson Family Carnival on the square in downtown Galesburg. Food, fun, and rides for the whole family!

FRIDAY, June 23

• starting at noon:  BNSF Rail Yard Tours  A narrated bus tour of one of the largest railyards on the BNSF system.
• 12 – 4pm:  Galesburg Railroad Museum Tours
• 5 – 10pm:  Chew Chew & Brew Block Party in Park Plaza in downtown Galesburg
  Local restaurants will be serving summer favorites. Cash only. $5 admission. Kids under 8 years old get in free
  • 5:30 – 7pm:  music by Mike & Kayla
  • 7:30pm:  music by Memphis Dives 
• 6 – 10pm:  Wilson Family Carnival
  Food, fun, and rides for the whole family–right on the square!

SATURDAY, June 24

• 10am – 4pm:  Model Train Show at Knox College Fieldhouse

• 10am – 2pm:  Engine Palooza at Discovery Depot Children’s Museum
• Noon:  Firefighters Water Fight Challenge on East Main Street between Kellogg and Seminary
• starting at noon:  BNSF Rail Yard Tours  A narrated bus tour of one of the largest railyards on the BNSF system.
• 12 – 4pm:  Galesburg Railroad Museum Tours
• Noon – 5pm:  Vendor Fair on East Main Street between Cherry and Prairie
• 1pm – 10pm:  Wilson Family Carnival  Food, fun, and rides for the whole family–right on the square!
• 3pm – 8pm:  Western Illinois Auto Antique Car Cruise-In on East Main Street between Seminary and Cherry
• 7:30pm:  The Highwaymen – American Country Outlaw Tribute concert at The Orpheum

SUNDAY, June 25
